# How to Choose the Right Domain Extension

The best extension depends on your audience, legal status and brand strategy.

## Common Choices

- .co.zw: Zimbabwean commercial identity.
- .org.zw: qualifying organisations and non-profits.
- .ac.zw: qualifying academic institutions.
- .com: broad international commercial use.
- .org: international organisation use.
- .net: technology and network-related brands, though it is open to general use.

## Selection Tips

- Choose a short, memorable name.
- Avoid confusing spelling and unnecessary hyphens.
- Register key variations when the brand is valuable.
- Use an extension your audience recognises and trusts.
