# How to Clear Browser and DNS Cache

Cached files and DNS answers can make a device show old content after a website change.

## Browser Cache

1. Open the page in a private window.
2. Perform a hard refresh.
3. Clear cached files for the affected site.
4. Restart the browser.

## DNS Cache

Restart the router or device, or use the operating system's DNS cache flush command. Test another network before assuming the server is wrong.

## Caution

 **Important:** Clearing cache does not accelerate global DNS propagation; it only removes local stored answers.
