# How to Install WordPress

WordPress can be installed using an application installer or manually.

## Before Installation

- Point the domain to hosting.
- Issue SSL.
- Choose whether WordPress will use the root domain or a subdirectory.
- Create a backup if the domain already contains a website.

## Install

1. Open the WordPress installer in DirectAdmin.
2. Select the domain and HTTPS address.
3. Choose the installation directory.
4. Set the site name and administrator details.
5. Use a unique admin username and strong password.
6. Complete the installation.
7. Log in and remove any unused default content.
