# How to Reset a WordPress Password

Reset the password through the login screen, database or command line depending on available access.

## Use Lost Password

1. Open the WordPress login page.
2. Select Lost your password?
3. Enter the administrator email or username.
4. Open the reset message.
5. Create a new strong password.

## If Email Does Not Work

An authorised administrator or developer can reset the account through the database or command line. Create a backup before direct database changes.
