# How to Troubleshoot SSL Certificate Errors

SSL errors can result from expired certificates, DNS mismatch, incomplete certificate chains or incorrect redirects.

## Check

1. Confirm the domain name in the browser matches the certificate.
2. Confirm the domain points to the correct server.
3. Check whether the certificate is expired.
4. Test both the root domain and www hostname.
5. Review proxy or CDN settings.
6. Reissue the certificate after DNS is correct.

## Mixed Content

A secure page may still show warnings when it loads images, scripts or stylesheets through HTTP.

## Need Help?

If you still need assistance, open a support ticket through your Vertico client account and include the affected domain or email address, a screenshot of the error, and the approximate time the problem occurred. Never send passwords by email or support ticket.
