Transferring a domain moves its management to Vertico while keeping the same domain name.
Before Starting #
- Confirm the domain is active.
- Ensure you control the registrant email address.
- Unlock the domain where applicable.
- Obtain the transfer or EPP code for supported extensions.
- Check that the domain is not within a transfer restriction period.
Transfer Steps #
- Place a domain transfer order in your Vertico account.
- Enter the transfer code when requested.
- Pay the transfer invoice.
- Approve any transfer confirmation email.
- Keep existing DNS records unchanged until the transfer completes.
Zimbabwean Domains #
Some .zw transfers follow registry-specific procedures and may require written authorisation or supporting documents.
