Most content management systems and web applications need a database and a database user.
Create the Database #
- Log in to DirectAdmin.
- Open MySQL Management.
- Select Create New Database.
- Enter a database name.
- Create a strong database user password.
- Save the database name, username and server hostname.
Application Setup #
Enter the exact database name, username, password and host in the application's configuration file or installer.
Security #
Important: Do not use the hosting account password as the database password.
