Spam protection helps identify unwanted or dangerous email before it reaches the inbox.

Enable SpamAssassin #

1. Log in to DirectAdmin.
2. Open E-mail Manager.
3. Select SpamAssassin Setup.
4. Enable spam filtering.
5. Choose a moderate score or sensitivity.
6. Decide whether spam should be tagged, moved or deleted.
7. Save the settings.

Recommended Starting Point #

Start with tagging or moving spam rather than deleting it. Review results for several days before using automatic deletion.

Improve Results #

• Report recurring spam patterns.
• Use blocklists carefully.
• Keep business contacts in an address book.
• Do not publish important addresses unnecessarily.
