How to Set Up Email in Mozilla Thunderbird

Thunderbird is a desktop email application that supports IMAP and SMTP.

Setup Steps #

  1. Open Thunderbird and choose Add Mail Account.
  2. Enter your display name, full email address and password.
  3. Select Configure manually if the automatic settings are incorrect.
  4. Enter IMAP and SMTP server details.
  5. Use SSL/TLS and normal password authentication where specified.
  6. Test the configuration and finish.
