Pointing connects your domain name to the server where your website is hosted.
Option 1: Change Nameservers #
Use the nameservers supplied by the hosting provider. This moves full DNS management to that provider.
Option 2: Change DNS Records #
Keep the current nameservers and update the A or CNAME records to the hosting destination.
Verify the Connection #
- Check the root domain and www version.
- Confirm SSL is issued.
- Test email after any DNS change.
- Allow time for propagation.
