1. Create a backup or note the current file state.
2. Open the WordPress root directory.
3. Find the .maintenance file.
4. Delete only that file.
5. Reload the website.
6. Complete or retry pending updates one at a time.

Prevent Recurrence #

Avoid closing the browser during updates and ensure the account has enough disk space and execution time.
