Configure a Vertico-hosted mailbox in Outlook using the full email address and the incoming and outgoing server settings supplied with your service.

Before Setup #

• Confirm the mailbox works in webmail.
• Know the full email address and password.
• Have the incoming and outgoing server hostnames.
• Use the recommended secure ports.

Setup Steps #

1. Open Outlook and choose Add Account.
2. Enter the full email address.
3. Choose IMAP for synchronised multi-device use.
4. Enter the incoming and outgoing server details.
5. Enable authentication for outgoing mail.
6. Enter the full email address as the username.
7. Complete setup and send a test message.

Recommended Protocol #

IMAP keeps messages on the server and synchronises folders across devices. POP downloads messages and is less suitable for most modern multi-device use.
