Import a database when moving an application or restoring data.
Prepare the File #
Use a valid .sql or compressed SQL export and confirm it is compatible with the available database version.
Import with phpMyAdmin #
- Create the destination database.
- Open phpMyAdmin from DirectAdmin.
- Select the database.
- Choose Import.
- Select the SQL file.
- Confirm character set and format if required.
- Start the import and review any errors.
Large Files #
Large imports may exceed browser upload or execution limits. Use a command-line method or request support when appropriate.
