How to Create a Subdomain

A subdomain such as portal.example.co.zw can host a separate website or application.

Create in DirectAdmin #

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin.
  2. Open Subdomain Management.
  3. Enter the subdomain label.
  4. Create it.
  5. Upload the application to the assigned document root.
  6. Add SSL after DNS is active.

DNS #

When DNS is managed elsewhere, create the required A or CNAME record there as well.
